Marble Jailhouse

The frame-built Marble Jailhouse was constructed in 1901 with wood siding and two jail cells. The one-story building is 20 feet by 14 feet and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was last used in 1923.

It needs a concrete foundation put under it to preserve it from further damage from the mountain snow and sun.

The fundraising coordinator is Emma Bielski. The money raised so far includes $5,000 from the Town of Marble, $10,000 from Great Outdoors Colorado and commitments from Aspen Valley Land Trust and Gunnison County.
