Your fishing options are wide open at Outwest Guides, with wade, float, and overnight trips; full and half-day (recommended for beginners) to float fishing excursions on the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers. Or you can book an overnight pack trip into the mountains for high-country lake and small stream fishing.
Marble offers exciting fishing. Few rivers can offer the opportunity to catch all four major trout species in one day of fishing. We call it the “Colorado Slam”—netting a brook trout, German brown trout, rainbow trout, and cutthroat trout all in the same day! Several of our clients have done it, and many more have had a great time trying!
We recommend wade trips for beginning fly-fishers, Youʼll learn dry fly fishing and nymph fishing, the basic fly-fishing knots, hooking and playing a trout, the catch and release ethic, and basic entomology— how to choose a fly to match the hatch.
Our float trips, recommended for more advanced anglers, are a great way to see the Roaring Fork and Colorado rivers, as well as hook into some big, strong trout!
Our overnight lake and stream trips are an unforgettable mountain adventure! Accessible by horseback, or as a hiking trip, our guests arrive to a fully set up and stocked wilderness camp.
